I caught Eastenders stalwarts Cliff Paris & Ricky Groves down by Alfresco restaurant on the seafront, reprising their roles as Minty Peterson & Gary Hobbs.

It was a swelteringly hot day, so many thanks to Ricky for giving me the ice cream he used in the final scene. My famous comestible can be seen later this year on BBC1 with its 2 supporting actors - a tenuous claim to fame, granted, but how many of us can honestly say we've eaten an Eastenders prop?
